ReproUnion PhD Course 2018

Last week, ReproUnion hosted a successful four-days PhD course; Reproductive Biology – From Genesis to Baby. Organizers Professor Claus Yding Andersen, Professor Yvonne Giwercman and Postdoc Stine Gry Kristensen welcomed 50 Ph.D. students from Denmark and Sweden. The aim of this course was to give the participants a comprehensive understanding of the basic knowledge on both male and female human reproduction. The course covered widespread aspects of reproductive biology from the molecular mechanisms behind male and female gonadal development to new perspectives and techniques in the management of people with reduced fertility (due to cancer or ageing) and infertile couples.

The course consisted of lectures by leading clinicians and scientists in the field. On the last day of the course the participants provided short presentations on selected topics which was discussed in plenum.
