Introducing STEPS – A New Fertility App

Jun 11, 2018

Steps is an app with the purpose to provide more information about fertility treatment and can be used as a planning tool with a timeline of appointments and tasks related to the process of the fertility treatment.

The first idea about the app was brought to life when bioanalyst Helle Bendtsen participated in the innovation project IdeRiget at Rigshospitalet Copenhagen University Hospital.  Together with the fertility clinics in the Capital Region of Denmark and the organization Sundhed.dk she has developed and launched the app.

Professor Søren Ziebe from ReproUnion explains “as a patient going through fertility treatment, it is important to feel well-informed about what will happen during the treatments. This knowledge will help the patient to reduce uncertainty and the feeling of pressure. With the new app Steps, we have tried to gather information about the treatments and make sure to target the information right to where the patient is in the course of the fertility treatment.”
