The hard work and effort by ReproUnion’s team of scientists to find solutions to an increasing challenge within infertility in an aging European population have lead to academic results of high quality and better access to public health care for the population in Greater Copenhagen – such as the patient mobility agreement. The ReproUnion project has been recognized by the European Commission and the project was nominated for RegioStars Awards 2018 in the category of “Creating better access to public services”. ReproUnion was one of 21 projects selected from a total of more than 100 applications from 20 member states and five further partner countries of the EU. The purpose of the awards is: “to identify good practices in regional development and to highlight original and innovative projects that are attractive and inspiring to other regions”.
