ReproUnion Grant Manager with an eye for international funding

The ReproUnion team is looking for a Grant Manager to strengthen and further develop the Øresund region’s leading position in the fight against infertility and associated illnesses. ReproUnion is an EU funded public-private partnership.

As Grant Manager you will in co-operation with principal investigators and other research groups drive a strategic and co-ordinated approach to identify relevant external funding sources necessary to realize ReproUnion’s ambitions over the next 10-15 years. You will coordinate the grant applications and subsequent compliance with grant reporting and you must therefore be able to identify relevant funds within the strategic remit relevant to ReproUnion activities.

Personal profile
You will be part of an ambitious partnership and working on a cross-border EU-project and we therefore expect you to be solution-oriented with a high sense of quality and ability to comply with deadlines. The preferred candidate will be outgoing, flexible and have strong interdisciplinary and international collaboration skills. You must be driven and motivated to explore the area of reproductive medicine and thrive on working independently as well as in teams, while understanding the dynamics and complexities of scientific collaborations.

You will be part of the ReproUnion management team where we have a variety of competencies, backgrounds and personalities as well as a happy and engaging approach to each other. The Management Unit has on behalf of the public-private partnership been assigned to co-ordinate the research activities in the project; ensure that the collaboration between the universities, scientists and industry is developed as well as the reporting to EU and the financial partners in the project. You will be given a central role in the daily work to seek external funding for the project. You will therefore build a close relation with project managers as well as other colleagues and principal investigators, who are part of the ReproUnion project as well as universities in other countries.

Application deadline

The deadline for applying is the 28th of July 2019. The Position

You would be in a project employment position, running until the 31st of December 2021. The place of work is at the Medicon Valley Alliance (MVA), Arne Jacobsens Allé 15, Ørestad, Copenhagen.


About ReproUnion

ReproUnion is a multidisciplinary project between 15 Danish and Swedish partners within reproductive medicine. The vision is for the Øresund Region to become world-leading in dealing with fertility related problems and this includes building core competencies in reproductive medicine. Through targeted initiatives the science will be strengthened, new treatments will be developed, and the next generation of scientists within reproductive medicine will grow stronger through the close collaboration. The total budget for the ReproUnion project (2019-2021) is 6.640.000 euro and is partly financed by Interreg Øresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak. Partners in the project include Region Skåne, Region Hovedstaden, Lund University, Malmö University, University of Copenhagen, MVA and Ferring Pharmaceuticals. The administrative management/secretarial function is co-located with MVA. MVA is a non-profit member organization in the Danish-Swedish life science cluster Medicon Valley, working to strengthen the network and collaboration between companies, regions, hospitals and universities in the Region.
