Swedish radio brought a story today about a new ReproUnion survey. In collaboration with GfK, 1000 persons in Skåne between 18 and 45 years were asked about their knowledge about fertility and when they wish to start a family.

The majority wish to have a baby and preferably more than one, but our survey shows that most people don’t know when the woman’s fertility decline and the major impact it has on creating a family.

The survey reveals furthermore that there is a lack of knowledge regarding risks for reduced fertility.

We conclude that we, in order to make sure that people are aware of the importance of biology and fertility when wanting to start a family, have a huge information job ahead of us.
