Reduced fertility is a disease

Nov 16, 2016

Yesterday, the Danish ”Vidensråd for Forebyggelse” and the Danish Family Planning Association opened the doors to a conference for the launch of their study about prevention of reduced fertility. This study from Vidensråd for Forebyggelse is the first in the world about reduced fertility.

The conference and the study had a clear focus: Reduced fertility is a disease! Reduced fertility should be acknowledged as a disease just like diabetes.

Søren Ziebe, Professor at The Fertility Clinic at Rigshospitalet, participated in the panel discussion at the conference. His key messaged was not to be misunderstood: Together, we must spread the word about fertility awareness.

Much of the focus in the debate was on the fertility graph below. It was surprising to a lot of people, how fast the graph drops. It was obvious to all the speakers that this is a key message that need to be communicated.
