ReproUnion Recognized by the European Commission at the RegioStars Certificate Ceremony for Finalists

Jul 4, 2018

Tuesday 3rd of July ReproUnion chairperson, Professor Jens Sønksen, attended the European Commission’s RegioStars certificate ceremony in Strasbourg, France. In the ceremony, the ReproUnion project was recognized by the European Commission and chairperson Sønksen was handed a certificate certifying that the project is nominated for RegioStars Awards in the category of “Creating better access to public services”.

“Attending the Certificate Ceremony was an absolutely positive experience. It brought the opportunity to meet and have a conversation with the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu and RegioStars 2018 Presidents of the Jury, MEP Lambert van Nistelrooij, and MEP Kersten Westphal, and to learn more on how they work to select the best projects nominated for RegioStars Award”, says professor Jens Sønksen.

He continues: “The nomination is a recognition to all the involved scientists and projects under the ReproUnion umbrella that is working hard to gain knowledge within their area of expertise and create hope and solutions for families, not only in Denmark and Sweden but in Europe as a whole”.

ReproUnion is one of 21 projects selected from a total of more than 100 applications from 20 member states and five further partner countries of the EU. The purpose of the RegioStars awards is: “to identify good practices in regional development and to highlight original and innovative projects that are attractive and inspiring to other regions”
