Together with valued industry collaborators, ReproUnion aims to accelerate the development of impactful solutions that address unmet needs in fertility care and reproductive health.
Ferring Pharmaceuticals has been the main industry partner in ReproUnion for 10 years and talks about it in a recent podcast.

LU Innovation and LU Ventures joined the ReproUnion partnership in 2023 to support the education of researchers and clinicians on innovation and entrepreneurship processes.

MiOXSYS will be used to analyze 1000 semen samples from the ReproUnion Biobank & Infertility Cohort. The collaboration with CaerusBiotech to use their system started in 2025.
Other Collaboration Initiatives
The BioInnovation Institute (BII) also supports fertility-related innovation and they have welcomed selected researchers from ReproUnion to their venture-building programs such as the BII Summer School, and expert network. The aim is to enhance the researchers’ ability to develop inventions into innovation that can attract investment. This strategic partnership strengthens ReproUnions connections to the regional innovation ecosystem and ensures that scientific breakthroughs in reproductive medicine are prepared for successful commercialization.
SmiLe Venture Hub is based in Lund and offers targeted entrepreneurship education to early-stage researchers. Together, ReproUnion and SmiLe are co-developing tailored innovation and entrepreneurship training with life science focus. This includes access to SmiLe’s eCampus program that helps build key business competencies for MedTech and fertility-related innovation. By nurturing talent and providing early exposure to commercialization tools, this collaboration contributes to a growing pipeline of translational research projects in the fertility space.
