News Coverage of ReproUnion Conference 2018 on TV

In yesterday’s news report on TV2 Lorry, we met the conservative parliamentary politician Mette Abildgaard that shares her way of becoming a mother with the help of reproductive medicine. Today 1 out of 5 couples are facing the challenge of involuntary infertility and 1 out of 12 children are born in Denmark with the help of reproductive medicine. Abildsgaard is sharing her story to bring more attention to the subject of involuntary infertility. She encourages couples that are facing involuntary infertility to be open about their challenges and asks the surroundings to support them.

This news report is part of the coverage of ReproUnion Conference 2018 that took place on the 20th of November, where professionals were invited to discuss ways to prevent and treat involuntary infertility.

Professor Søren Ziebe from the Fertility Department, Rigshospitalet, Denmark, was interviewed and explained the probability of getting pregnant within one cycle and the probabilities of getting pregnant while aging. And the influencing factors of getting pregnant.

Regional Council Chairman of Capital Region of Denmark, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen says in the interview that the collaboration in the ReproUnion project has worked well and that we should have ambitious goals within reproductive medicine for the future.
