First podcast with ReproUnion highlights several perspectives of involuntary childlessness

Apr 30, 2025

In April 2025 ReproUnion was for the first time featured in a podcast, and it was a unique opportunity to contribute to the broader debate about Denmark’s position in the global life science sector. The podcast is part of a new series inspired by the Danish Life Science Council’s four key ambitions and recommendations to ensure Denmark remains a leader in international life sciences.

This third episode of the Business Review Life Science podcast brings together diverse perspectives from academia, industry, and healthcare and dives into the urgent topic of involuntary childlessness and explores how public-private collaboration is key to finding innovative fertility solutions.

Partnership in Action

Ferring Pharmaceuticals, a long-standing partner in ReproUnion, emphasized the importance of collaboration in tackling infertility. Kelle Moley, VP Reproductive Medicine and Maternal Health, shared: “At Ferring, family is at the heart of everything we do. Our premier partnership with ReproUnion allows us to work with outstanding scientists in both female and male infertility. It is through partnership and combined efforts that we will be able to make strides in addressing infertility. Let’s build families together and support people at every stage of their fertility journey.”

Anette Steenberg added a powerful call for political focus:
“Over the past 15 years, we have strengthened the Medicon Valley hub with world-class fertility researchers, a uniquely structured biobank, and innovations now radiating from our cross-border region. But infertility isn’t just a challenge for our region – it’s a serious societal issue for all of Denmark and Sweden. That’s why we are extending an invitation to our national politicians to join this dialogue and help make fertility a national priority.”

Help Us Share the Word

“We are deeply grateful to Eva Hoffmann, Kelle, and Anette for contributing their time, knowledge, and perspectives. And a warm thank you to Business Review Life Science and Søren Vejby – it’s been rewarding to steer this process with them as well as with colleagues and board members. Within just a few weeks, we shaped a compelling storyline – and it’s been a pleasure to see it come to life with such thoughtful insights from all participants,” commented Mette Bach Dyremose, Head of Communication, ReproUnion.

Here you find all the info about the podcast which covers the topics:

  • How public-private partnerships like ReproUnion are driving cross-border innovation in fertility research.

Help us share the word – and be part of the conversation about how we can secure a better future for fertility and reproductive health.
