The children we don’t have – Denmark’s reproductive sustainability is under pressure

‘Reproductive sustainability’ is a new expression coined by Søren Ziebe, professor, head of the fertility clinic at Rigshospitalet and part of the ReproUnion collaboration, and Ole Sohn, chairman of the board at Cryos. In a recently published op-ed in the Danish newspaper Politiken, Søren and Ole are highlighting important societal problems which will arise as a consequence of delayed childbearing to older ages and the risk of infertility and involuntary childlessness as a result thereof.
