Life Style Factors and Male Fertility

Nov 7, 2017

Semen quality has been suggested to be associated with subsequent morbidity and mortality. The Fertility Clinic at Frederiksberg Hospital examined semen quality of 4,712 men from 1966 to 2010 referred for infertility evaluation, they were traced in the National Patient Registry.

Professor Tina Kold Jensen and her team found a clear dose-response association between sperm concentration, total sperm count and motility and risk of hospitalization. 140 men were carefully clinically examined and lower sperm count was associated with higher total body fat, waist circumference and higher b-glucose at follow-up.

Join us on Thursday, November 9th where Professor Tina Kold Jensen will give a presentation on Lifestyle Factors and Male Fertility at the ReproUnion Research Seminar.
